About

I am Ben Carr. I’m married to Noelle, my best friend and constant companion, and we have three kiddos. I hold a BA in Applied Linguistics interdisciplinary in Biblical Greek (Moody Bible Institute), a MA in Classics & Early Christianity (Houston Theological Seminary), and currently working on a PhD in New Testament (Ridley College Melbourne). I teach at Erikson-Tritt Theological College in Papua, Indonesia. Reading, writing, eating good food, and talking to people about the Bible are some of my favorite things to do.

The more I read the Bible the more I fall in love with the One who addresses me through it. This blog is a place where I occasionally share thoughts and resources that have contributed to the cross-shape of my life. I write about theology, biblical studies, history, tradition, biblical languages, or (less often) current events and trends. All will hopefully contribute toward a cross-shaped life.
